The Grand Cliff Resort Munnar

This was our 30th hotel in our cycle tour of southern India. We've stayed in some very nice hotels but this is easily the best. From the magnificent view from your balcony (go for the deluxe room for the best views) to the wonderfully helpful staff you simply couldn't fault it. The food was excellent and it had the best continental breakfast we've had in India, and far better than many European hotels. The rooms were immaculately clean, well maintained and the bed was very comfortable and cosy. The air con was, unlike many hotels here, very effective, though we did have a teething problem with it which can be put down to the hotel having only been open 6 weeks. The pool was a bit cool, but nice to paddle in and the restaurant had a great view too. If you're a cyclist they'll happily look after your bike - or tandem like ours! But our tip would be to stop at the barrier and ask the gate keeper to get reception to send a golf cart down to collect your panniers. The hill up to reception is very very steep and is a tiring push at the end of the day.

An Unforgettable Stay at The Grand Cliff Resort, Munnar The Grand Cliff Resort is a truly luxurious retreat with breathtaking views of the hills. The property itself is a treasure trove of experiences, offering so much to explore and enjoy. A special mention to Mr. Muhammad Faris, who made our stay even more delightful. Polite and attentive, he went out of his way to take care of us. As an Arabic translator for the guests, he added a fun twist to our trip—my son, traveling from Dubai, thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him in Arabic. He also guided us through the property, helping us capture some wonderful photos. The resort boasts Instagram-worthy spots, including a giant eagle sculpture, a picturesque bridge, and a waterfall. The infinity pool was simply spectacular, providing an unmatched experience of swimming amidst the stunning natural beauty. The à la carte food, recommended by the Chef, was absolutely delicious and exceeded all expectations.

Grand Cliff has the best view in munnar. Its comparable to and even surpasses many resorts in Switzerland, it’s exceeded my expectations. Even the outdoor corridors play relaxing music in the nurture. The supervisor Vinod was very respectful & cooperative to the utmost extent. Everything you wish for is provided. I regretted that I did not find a vacancy with them for the rest of my stay in Munnar. Thank you very much I completely recommend and will come back again.

The location and the service is awesome. The restaurant staff went out of the way to meet our dietary needs. A special thanks to the team. The only negative side is that they dont serve alcohol.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was nice and they had a variety of Indian food and other foods as well. i will definitely come again.
